Beauty Shop (Movie Review)

"Beauty Shop" is a remake of the classic film of the same name, which tells a story about Black love. The story follows Gina, a widow, and Joe, who lives above her beauty shop. Both men play piano and have a sweet relationship. Queen Latifah has been making excellent contributions to romantic comedies ever since. After "Beauty Shop," she worked with LL Cool J in Last Holiday and Common in Just Wright.

It's a good idea to network with other small businesses in the area. They can help you expand your reach and establish a name for yourself. If you have an existing clientele, you can coordinate deals or events with them. To build a loyal customer base, you can offer discounts or punch cards. In addition, you can have your existing customers refer new clients. Beauty Shop is available on Peacock and can be purchased on iTunes, Google Play, and Vudu.

The plot is a little similar to Barbershop, but it's more fun than a remake. While the movie lacks the humor of Barbershop, it makes up for it with good acting and great chemistry. Alicia Silverstone and Alfre Woodard are terrific in the supporting roles. Overall, Beauty Shop is an entertaining comedy that will have you laughing your way through the film. If you enjoy watching comedies, you'll love Beauty Shop.

Gina is a strong female character in the comedy series. She stands her ground despite the negative criticism she receives. While she may not have been a born socialite, she's unafraid of voicing her opinions. Gina encourages Lynn, the only non-black hairdresser at her beauty salon, and does her best to protect her friend from the harsh criticism. Her mother-in-law and friends rally to her aid whenever Gina is in trouble.

Gina's business is booming. After she makes a deal with her ex-lover Darnelle, she takes over her former client Jorge's clients. When she starts gaining success, she hires a handsome African electrician to help her. Eventually, she finds her dream job, working with the wealthy and famous. However, the night before Vanessa's piano recital, the shop is vandalized. Gina's clients and employees clean up the shop and move on to the next step of building the beauty salon.
